After a federal judge has all but stated that the ever popular electronic cigarette should and likely would be classified as a tobacco product, and specifically, a reduced harm tobacco products, a state senator has sponsored a bill that may produce a “quit or die” law that is likely to stop millions from switching to other alternatives other than tobacco. This appears to be a legal move to protect the big drug companies interest.

Everyone who smokes has tried to quit at one point or another. Even if the reason is for money and not necessarily for health benefits, we have all been down that road. It is not fun to quit, nor is it fun to chew that gum that tastes, well, like a piece of medicine. It is not fun to âpatch upâ and spend what it actually costs to buy a full carton of cigarettes (or more!), when the relief it gives you is less than if you had just smoked. You still want to smoke after using those products anyway, right? Where is the long-term relief in these âsolutionsâ to the problem?
